Introduction: Book Marker

About: I am married with two children. Spring, summer, and fall are my very favorite times of the year. I enjoy working in the yard, sewing, cooking, quilting, gardening, and creating. I do this to keep my sanity.
Here are a couple of quick and easy book markers you can make that will be perfect for school. Let me show you how easy it is!

Step 1: Supplies

Small scraps of colored paper. A light weight card stock is perfect.
Paper clips.
Tooth picks.
Floppy disk.
Marker.
Round metal from floppy for closure.
Magnet.

Step 2: Tools

Glue to glue paper and paper clips.
Needle nose pliers.
Scissors.
Knife.
Cardboard for work surface.

Step 3: Making the Purse

In the next few steps I will show how the purse is made.

Step 4: Floppy

Carefully lift the black tab and remove it from the floppy disk.
There are many things you can use the remaining parts for; so be sure and save them.
You will find a small piece of wire ( pictured on the black film ) that is good to use for making things, that I  will share in a different Instructable.

Step 5: Cut and Glue

Place the black tab over a piece of colored paper.
Trim around it with the scissors.
Add glue to the back of the paper and glue it inside the black tab to cover the window.
Glue a small piece of the magnet on the inside cover of the black tab.
Glue the small metal circle (from the floppy to the other side).
Cut out a handle and glue it to the top of the purse.
I used a toothpick to apply the hot glue and it worked out great!
The glue sticks did not leave a discoloration on the paper.

Step 6: Paper Clips

I forgot to take enough pictures of this part so I added these pictures afterwards so I don't want to confuse you.
When  the paper, metal disk, and magnets are glued add the paper clips.
Glue the backside of the paper clips.
Write a name in the window section if you like, using the marker.
Next I will show how to make the hanger.

Step 7: Hanger

Repeat step 4 removing the black tab.
Using the tab for a guide, cut out a colored shape of paper to fit.
Glue it to the face of the black tab.
Using the pliers bend the wire in the shape of a hanger.
Glue it to the front of the black tab.
Glue the magnet and round disk on the inside of the book marker.
Finished!

If I can do this anyone can, all you need to to is practice on a few and be careful not to damage the vinyl while bending the paper clip.

Step 8: Sunshiine's Final Thoughts
