Is it that time of year again already?!  Oh thank heavens! Summer is on it’s way in – and that means sipping delicious Coconut Lime coolers in the back yard lawn chair all the while bathing in the warm sun.  This cooler uniquely combines coconut rum and the zest freshness of real lime juice to create a deliciously refreshing cocktail – perfect for the spring.

Speaking of putting lime in coconut…who was the first fella that ever thought that idea up anyway?  Well I guess a dude named Harry Nilsson wrote a song about it in 1971 and it reached all the way up to the 8th spot in the top 100 list of songs. Woo hoo there’s a history lesson for you.

Coconut Lime Cooler

1oz Malibu Coconut Rum

.5oz Silver Rum

Lemon Lime Soda

Splash of fresh squeezed lime juice

Build over ice in a collins glass and garnish with a lime wheel.  Now go get out and enjoy that sun.  Don't forget your cooler ;)
