This is a face mask with PM2.5 filter pocket.

Step 1: Gather Supplies

-Fabric outer layer: .25 yards (canvas, twill, cotton, or any fabric that is tightly woven)

-Fabric lining: .25 yards (non stretch soft cotton)

-Bias tape: Extra wide

-Braided Elastic 1/8in(.32cm): 24 inches

-PM2.5 filter

Step 2: Cut Pattern

-Front main panel: Cut 1-2 depending on how many layer you want for protection. This can also be determined by how loose your fabric is. Just keep in mind the more layer the more protection.

-Front and lining bottom panel: Cut 1 outer layer fabric. Cut 1 lining fabric.

-Lining side panel: Cut 2 lining fabric

-Center lining panel: Cut 1 lining fabric

Step 3: Hem Lining

-Mark the hem lines onto the lining panels.

-Both sides of center lining panel and only the inside edges of the lining side panels.

-Roll over and pin edge.

-Sew at .25 inch seam allowance.

Step 4: Lining Peak

-Place the right sides together.

-Sew as close as you can to the edge.

Step 5: Attach Lining Panels

-Overlap the center lining panel with the side lining panels.

-Tack stitch just the bottoms.

Step 6: Attach Lining Bottom

-Line up notch points on bottom lining and center lining panels.

-Pin bottom in to position.

-Sew at .25 inch seam allowance.

Step 7: Tack Stitch

-Tack stitch top overlapping panels.

Step 8: Outer Layer Point

-Place right sides together.

-Sew as close as you can to the edge.

Step 9: Attach Bottom

-Line up notches.

-Pin

-Sew with .25 inch seam allowance.

-This step is done the same way as lining.

Step 10: Place Outer Layer and Lining Together

-Place the outer layer and lining together. Make sure wrong sides are touching.

-Line up bottom notches and nose point.

-Pin together.

Step 11: Bias Tape Edges

-You can use made bias tape or bias tape attachment. Both methods work.

-When sewing on top edge bias tape. Add twist tie or other bendy object above the nose. This will allow of adjustment around the nose area. I just mine at 3 inches or you can use a full twist tie.

Step 12: Finish Side Edges

-Serge or zig-zag stitch side edges to prevent fraying.

Step 13: Add Elastic

-Place 12 inches of elastic on outside edge.

-Roll over edge and pin.

-Do not sew over the elastic.

Step 14: Tie Elastic

-Tie the elastic ends together.

-Move the knot into the hem.

Step 15: Add PM2.5 Filter

-Add the filter into the pocket and you are all finished!
