Introduction: How to Build a Bee Vacuum

Using a bee vacuum makes collect wild hives easier and damages the bees less than brushing them into boxes.

You also collect of the bees, which leads to a better outcome.

Step 1: You'll Need a Larger Box to Be the Vacuum Chamber.

You'll need to add an inlet and a wired box to capture the bees.

Step 2: Mark and Drill the Hole for the Inlet.

Drill into the lid and screw together making a seal around the lid.

Step 3: Make a Stand Tall Enough for the Box to Reach the Lid.

Make sure there is enough space for an inlet for the vacuum at the bottom of the box.

Step 4: Measure and Drill the Vacuum Input Hole.

Attach a joint to the inside and outside of the box.

Step 5: For Pressure Control Add a Tap.

Opening the tap will lower the pressure and closing it will increst the pressure.

Step 6: Next, You'll Need a Vacuum Cleaner.

Attach to the input at the bottom of the box.

Finally, attach a hose to suck up the bees.

Step 7: Cut Off the Bottom of the Tin to Give the Bees More Room When They Enter.
