Introduction: Kaleidoscope Garden

About: I am married with two children. Spring, summer, and fall are my very favorite times of the year. I enjoy working in the yard, sewing, cooking, quilting, gardening, and creating. I do this to keep my sanity.

This is an entry for the Garden contest.  I will be sharing my garden pictures.  These pictures are original and not edited.  I wanted to take the viewer a little closer to the center of the plant.   It is amazing how intricate a plant can be.  Delicate and beautiful in every detail.

I have always enjoyed working in the yard and garden. I am fortunate to have a husband that shares the same joy. He has worked very hard conditioning the soil and on the landscaping design. We have grown many beautiful things because of the extra time we have spent mulching the soil. We have used a lot of grass, and leaves. Our soil was extremely hard and dry before we started mulching. It required a lot of water to grow a good garden. Because we have mulched the past few years, we can dig a hole in our yard with little effort. Weeds are not so bad either. We try hard not to use any chemicals. We weed by hand, use vinegar when we need to and sometimes we have no choice but to use chemicals. I never use them on the garden though. We hand water so the water usage is minimal. We do not water as often as our neighbors do because there is no need to. To avoid the tree trunks from growing above the ground, my husband waters them deep. This is very beneficial to keep those roots in the ground.

Here are close-up pictures of our garden, trees, and flowers. These pictures were taken to show the inner beauty of the things growing in my yard and garden. I wanted to capture the seed area and how delicate and beautiful the inside is. It is this area we don't normally see. We live in a beautiful world don't we?
