This instructable will show you how to make a nifty marbled background for your homemade cards, perfect for the holidays or any other time you want to let someone know you are thinking about them.

Enough talk! Let's stamp!

Step 1: Part 1 - Supplies

This instructale is broken down into 2 parts. Part 1 will deal with the marbled background and how to achieve it, the supplies you'll need are:

-Red and Green re-inkers from Stampin Up! (aka dye inks)
-baking cake pan
-spatula
-shaving cream
-white cardstock
-paper towels (because it wouldn't be an Instructable if you didn't get messy)

Step 2: Shaving Cream and Ink

Fill that pan with shaving cream making sure its fairly even, then add in some ink. Just like food colouring a little goes a long way. The more you add the more intense the colouring.

This variation used Christmas colours, but think outside the box here and mix it up for whatever the occasion.

Step 3: Swirl That Sucka!

Begin to mix in a swirling motion. We're going for a marbled look, not mixed. So don't over mix once the ink is added, just a few swirls.

Step 4: Dip It!

Take white cardstock and press lightly into pan making sure the piece will be evenly covered and remove. The card will be heavy and bend a little, don't worry this is normal.

Step 5: Wipe Off Excess

Carefully take it out and scrape off the excess and into your sink, don't forget to rinse out sink otherwise you'll have a technocolour experience the next time you do your dishes!

Once excess has been wiped off use a paper towel and dab dry.

Put aside on a paper towel to dry, while it's drying go ahead and dip a few more, try a different spot, the outcomes are endless!

Step 6: Part 2 - Assembling the Card

From here, you can can decorate the card or do anything with your pieces of marbled cardstock, but we're going to take the stamping route because let's be honest, stamps rule!

Supplies for your stamped card:

-green, red and white cardstock
-focal image clear stamps
-pair of sharp scissors
-stamp pads
-acrylic stamping blocks

Step 7: Get Stamping

Ink up your stamps (in this case a dino and santa hat images) and stamp onto paper.

Step 8: Cut It Out!

Cut out your stamps carefully. A sharp good quality set of craft scissors work well for this, or a small sharp blade will also work.

Dry fit your card to visualize how it will look and if any changes are needed.

Step 9: Assemble!

Assemble, glue, and add accessories as desired. This is your creative license, so earn it!

Stamp ROAR sentiment onto cardstock and call it a day!

Step 10: Finished!

Show off your goodies!
