Overview
Furniture shopping for pieces that both fit your space and look great can really take a chunk out of your wallet. Instead of battling the crowds at big furniture stores or crossing your fingers and hoping the couch you picked online will match your curtains, take the guesswork and frustration out of the mix by making your own furniture! Go big and bold or simple and classic, as long as it fits your taste, it’ll fit right in the Furniture Contest!
Furnish your living space with charming homemade furniture and you could win awesome tools from Woodcraft including a Disc Sander, Band Saw, and Branding Iron. Compete for the two judges' prizes; one for making a chair and another for showing off your upholstery skills. Construct the perfect table, bed frame, shelf and more that will give your sparse space just the right personal touch.
Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between Oct 23, 2017 and Dec 18, 2017 (11:59pm PT).
Upon publishing your Instructable you'll see checkboxes for open contests. Select Furniture Contest 2017. If you have entries currently eligible for entry, it will also show up by clicking "Enter this Contest" on the right side of this page.
Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time.
A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.
When the winners are decided they will be notified and announced here on the contest page.
