Supplies

Things you will need:
  • Eggs
  • Air Fryer - The type of air fryer shouldn't matter. I have the kind with a basket that pulls out.
  • Tongs
  • Water
  • Ice

Step 1: Basket and Cook

Place the eggs in your Air Fryer basket. You should easily be able to cook up to 12 eggs at a time, depending on the size of your air fryer basket.

Put the basket in the air fryer and set the temp to 275 to 280 F (135 to 137 C).

Set the time to 14 to 18 minutes. It really depends on how cooked you want the yolk. I recommend trying 2 eggs at first at 18 minutes and see how they turn out in your air fryer.

The eggs can be at room temp or straight out of the fridge. If they are cold it will take a minute or two longer.

Step 2: Cool Down Those Eggs

Once the timer goes off remove the basket with the eggs. You may or may not see debris on the eggshell. If you don't clean the basket well enough from prior use, especially if you use any kind of oil, you may find some on the eggs when done. But it won't affect the inside in any way.

Use tongs to pull the hot eggs out and place them in a bowl of water. Add ice to make the water super cold. The cold water will stop the eggs from cooking further and make them easier to peel.

Keep them in the ice water for a few minutes. Any debris that was on the outside of the egg should wash right off in the cold water.

Step 3: Crack, Peel, Serve

Now time to eat those eggs. Crack them on the counter and then peel them. Then eat them however you want. Use them as-is, make deviled eggs with them, use them in another dish like potato salad, or slice and place them on a green salad, etc.

NOTE: If the egg yolk isn't cooked as well as you would like, just cook it a few minutes longer the next time. Or if you would like it a little less cooked, use less time in the air fryer.

And that is it, no boiling water, etc. Super easy to do! Enjoy!
