Step 2: Eggs, Milk, Sugar

This batter is very easy to make. First take a large bowl and add the eggs, milk, and sugar. Then use a hand mixer or blender and mix it until well blended.

Step 3: Sift Sift Away!

Now let's take a sifter and add our flour, salt, and cocoa powder. The reason why you want to use a sifter, is cocoa powder has a tendency to be lumpy, this will get all the lumps out and help make a nice smooth batter. You may need to reach down and smush some of the lumps in the sifter.

Step 4: Mix and Scrape

Now let's use our mixer or blender and get that batter all mixed together and scrape the sides of your bowl as needed with your spatula. Great your chocolate crepe batter is ready to go! :)

Step 5: Butter It Up

Now heat up your skillet, crepe pan, or crepe maker. Medium heat works great. Add a tiny bit of butter or spray the pan with kitchen spray. Use a ladle or measuring cup and take the pan off the heat and tilt it at an angle. Add your crepe batter to the pan and then tilt the pan in a circle motion (easier to see in the video). This will allow the crepe batter to fill up the whole bottom of the pan. Or if you using a crepe maker, use the little wooden tools that come in the kit and spread the batter out.

Step 6: Cook and Flip

Let the batter cook until it gets pale and dry looking on the top, usually a minute or two. Now use a spatula and flip that crepe. Sometimes I will hold it up with my hand it makes it easier. Flip it over to the other side and let it cook for about 30 seconds. The other side always cooks faster. Then remove the crepe and place it on a plate. Now continue with the rest of them. :)

Step 7: Toppings!

I love all kinds of toppings on my crepes. What are some of your favorite toppings? Drop a comment down below and let me know.

Step 8: Serve Them Up!

Now add whatever toppings you like. I love adding cool whip or whipped cream with my homemade strawberry sauce (compote) and then topping them off with fresh cut strawberries and powdered sugar. I also like bananas. They are now ready to serve. Enjoy! :)
