Introduction: Orange Creamsicles

About: Hello and Welcome to In the Kitchen With Matt. I am your host Matt Taylor. My goal for the show is to teach you how to cook really good food at home for cheap. Eating out everyday can get expensive, but it doe…

In this instructable I will show you how to make a creamsicle. Homemade orange creamsicles are awesome and this recipe is really easy to make. The cool thing about this is you can use the same ingredients for these as you do for the creamsicle float. So you get two treats in one, so to speak. :) I also like that there are a few methods that you can try out to see which one you like the best. Let's get started!

Don't forget to follow me and check out my other instructables. :)

If you have any questions or comments leave them down below and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Follow the easy steps below or watch my short video tutorial, or do both!

Step 2: Fill Your Mold

First let's take our orange soda and let it sit out for an hour or two, in order to remove the carbonation. Then we can take that or orange juice and fill up the mold about half full. A funnel works really well for this step.

Step 3: Fill and Freeze

Next fill up the mold with vanilla ice cream, then put the lid on and freeze it. This is one method of doing it using either orange soda or orange juice.

Step 4: Mix Then Fill

The method that I prefer is this one. Take your soda that has gone flat or your orange juice and mix it with your ice cream. I usually do equal parts. Then after they are combined, fill up the mold, put the top on and freeze.

Step 5: Differences

You can see the differences on how they froze. The one where we mixed the two ingredients came out looking all uniform in color. The other one where we just pushed down the ice cream into, has a two tone of color and flavors. Then all you need to do is run some water over the mold to loosen the popsicle, so you can pull it out of the mold and enjoy it. :) Good luck!
