Make these with the kids for a fun family evening together. If I can do it, you can do it. Let's get started!

Don't forget to follow me and check out my other Instructables. :)

Follow the easy steps below or watch the video tutorial or do both!

Step 1: Ingredients and Tools

Ingredients:

  • Pretzels - Use the thin kind
  • Double stuffed Oreos
  • Rolos
  • Mini Reese's peanut butter cups (either milk chocolate or dark)
  • Red hots or Red M&Ms
  • Candy eyeballs
  • Chocolate or frosting - Candy melts work great

Tools:

  • Piping bag or a plastic bag or a little brush
  • Knife
  • Sheet pan lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat
  • Bowl

Step 2: Option 1 - Rolo Pretzel Reindeer

This first option is the Rolo pretzel reindeer. Preheat the oven to 350 F/176 C. Take a pretzel and add a Rolo to the center or near the bottom.

Place them on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Bake in the oven for 1 to 2 minutes. Don't forget about them! You only want the Rolos to get soft.

Step 3: Cut the Pretzels

For all three options, you will need pretzel pieces for the antlers. You can cut them however you like, they are prone to breaking but don't worry about that. They don't need to be perfect. I do try and cut right down the center to give me to nice pieces, haha.

Step 4: Assemble the Rolo Reindeer

Now press the candy eyeballs into the top of the Rolo. They will stick no problem to the chocolate.

Place a red hot for the nose or you can use a red M&M, although I like the red hots better.

You can leave it like that, or add the pieces of pretzel for the antlers. Just stick them right into the chocolate part of the Rolo.

Once you are done, place the pan in the fridge so they can set. They only need 15 to 20 minutes in the fridge.

Step 5: Option 2 - Oreo Pretzel Reindeer

Now for the second option, the Oreo Pretzel reindeer, or they kind of look like a dog too, haha. These are similar to Oreo Turkeys.

Take some candy melts, white chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, etc, and melt them in the microwave or use the double boiler method on the stovetop.

Or if you have a microwave-safe piping bag, you can just melt them in that in the microwave. Use bursts of 25 seconds and then massage the bag, and repeat until all melted.

But if you melted the chocolate in a bowl you can scoop it into a piping bag, or just leave it in a bowl and use a small brush or lollipop stick to apply the chocolate.

Add some chocolate to the top of the double stuffed Oreo. Then gently insert the antler pieces. Its okay if the back of the Oreo breaks, you can attach it.

Then dab a little chocolate on the bottom of the Oreo and place a Rolo. Then place some chocolate on top of the Rolo and add either a red hot or an M&M. Then add two dabs of chocolate and place the candy eyes, or you can just leave the chocolate for the eyeballs.

NOTE: I get candy eyeballs at my supermarket in the baking section, they can be found at Walmart, Target, etc. also online.

Place them in the fridge to set for 15 minutes.

Step 6: Option 3 - Peanut Butter Cup Pretzel Reindeer

Finally the third option, Peanut butter cup pretzel reindeer. Unwrap a mini-peanut buttercup, either milk chocolate or dark chocolate one, and then press in the pretzel antlers.

If you need to, you can pipe a little bit of the chocolate as well to help keep the antlers in place.

Then add the chocolate for the nose and eyeballs. Place in the fridge to set.

NOTE: These work the best if the peanut butter cups are cool or chilled first.

Step 7: All Done!

Now you have three different kinds of pretzel reindeer. Make one kind or a variety of all three. This would make a great indoor activity to do with the kids. Enjoy!
